On Oct. 20, 2014, the Department of Education issued new regulations implementing changes to the Clery Act by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA). The regulations are massive, set out in 227 pages of the Federal Register, and they take effect on July 1, 2015. All colleges and universities receiving federal funds are affected.
