November 13, 2013

Complimentary Webinar Series, US

Archived media:

The trend of acquisitions and affiliations (including management arrangements) in the hospital sector is accelerating. Before deciding to pursue a combination or affiliation, both sides of the transaction need to engage in a thoughtful evaluation of a number of key considerations. These include initial due diligence and regulatory discussions as well as board education and evaluation of the best options. The webinar addresses several of these pre-transaction considerations and provide insight into the key areas of concern, including:

  • How does the board ensure fulfillment of duty to the community both prior to and during a transaction?
  • How to identify and mitigate problematic relationships with referral sources and other material issues that could jeopardize a transaction.
  • How big of a problem is the hospital’s defined benefit pension plan and does this change the list of potential suitors?
