Partner Hardeep Nahal spoke at this event hosted by LexisNexis/Butterworths on the topic “The future of conditional fee agreements and contingency fees,” looking at both contingency fees and the changes to conditional fee agreements introduced on April 1, 2013, by the implementation of the Jackson Reforms of Civil Justice. Hardeep was able to draw on his experience as a member of the Civil Justice Council Working Party for implementation of the Jackson Reforms, which came out of a root and branch review of the system of civil justice in the United Kingdom by Lord Justice Jackson in 2008-2009.

The conference was chaired by Mike Napier QC of Harbour Litigation Funding and other speakers included Mr Justice Vivian Ramsey, Neil Purslow of Therium Capital Management, Marius Nasta of Redress Solutions and Selvyn Seidel of Fulbrook Capital Management.
