McGuireWoods partner Ryan Purpura, chair of the firm’s oil and gas practice, was quoted in a WSJ Pro article discussing competitive bids to secure private equity investments for midstream oil and gas deals in the Permian Basin, the United States’ most active shale drilling region.
In the Sept. 29 article, Purpura noted, “There’s tremendous competition right now in the midstream space, particularly in West Texas, in the Permian Basin.” He added, “I have yet to work on one [transaction] that’s not a competitive bid situation.”
