McGuireWoods to Move Its Baltimore Office to City’s Central Business District

April 26, 2017

McGuireWoods is moving its Baltimore office to a new address in the city’s central business district along the famed Inner Harbor. The firm signed a 10-year lease in March and will move into its new waterfront offices at 500 E. Pratt St. in November.

McGuireWoods will occupy approximately 21,000 square feet on the 10th floor of the 13-story, Class A office building. The new office will provide an efficient and flexible floorplan that incorporates state-of-the-art technologies in collaborative workspaces. The firm moved to its current home at 7 Saint Paul St. in 1999.

“We look forward to welcoming our many clients and friends to our new Inner Harbor offices,” said Baltimore office managing partner Cecil Martin. “We are delighted to continue playing a big role in our community from such a central and vibrant location.”

Since the firm opened its Baltimore office over 25 years ago, McGuireWoods lawyers have served Baltimore in community leadership roles and as legal advisers on infrastructure projects that helped shape the city’s business and recreational development. The firm serves as bond counsel for the city’s proposed Port Covington bond issues and the Baltimore Hilton convention center hotel project adjacent to Orioles Park at Camden Yards. McGuireWoods lawyers also serve on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage, Greater Baltimore Committee, Young Audiences of Maryland, University of Maryland Children’s Hospital, and the Y in Central Maryland, among others.
