McGuireWoods and its full-service public affairs arm, McGuireWoods Consulting, were recognized for thought leadership and honored as the top firm in healthcare by JD Supra, a leading distributor of customized legal and business content, in its 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the second consecutive year that McGuireWoods has been recognized as the top firm in healthcare.
The awards recognize top firms and writers for the visibility and engagement their thought leadership earned among readers in select subjects during the previous 12 months. Readers include top corporate executives and legal decision makers, journalists and other professionals who receive JD Supra’s curated content.
Stephanie Kennan, senior vice president with McGuireWoods Consulting, was named JD Supra’s No. 1 healthcare author for the second consecutive year. Kennan, a member of McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal public affairs team, advises clients on healthcare policy issues.
Chicago associate Timothy Fry was recognized as the No. 2 healthcare author by JD Supra. Fry advises clients on healthcare compliance and regulatory issues, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, Medicare policy, state fraud and abuse laws, and state licensure and certificate of need rules.
In addition, the firm’s client alert, “U.S. House Passes HEROES Act — 12 Provisions for Healthcare Providers,” co-authored by Kennan, Fry and Chicago associate Erin Dine, was recognized as one of the top read articles.
JD Supra recognized the excellence and achievement of only 265 authors from among the approximately 60,000 who published on their platform in 2020 and honored 26 firms for their thought leadership visibility during the year.
