McGuireWoods partner Kurt Meyers has been honored in The National Law Journal’s 2018 White Collar, Regulatory & Compliance Trailblazers issue for crafting innovative strategies to assist clients in government investigations, prosecutions and enforcement matters. Meyers is one of 25 honorees selected from hundreds of nominees.
Meyers is a partner in McGuireWoods’ nationally recognized Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department. He joined the firm in Charlotte in 2016 after serving as an assistant U.S. attorney and criminal division chief for the Western District of North Carolina. He also was deputy chief of the White Collar Crime Unit and led the office’s Bank Secrecy Task Force during his 11 years as a federal prosecutor. Meyers founded the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force, which helps government agencies effectively collaborate on investigating securities and commodities markets crimes.
Meyers assists clients in matters that involve the Justice Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Comptroller of the Currency, and other federal and state agencies.
